Huzzah!! Welcome back to another monthly chit chat reader family.
The wheels have not stopped spinning lately for me and MLB, trips to Quairading, new market venues, new authors and a regular local TV gig. You've read it right, I am now a regular on The Couch TV show here in Perth. Woohoo!! I get to share my special flare for reviewing books and updating you on all what's new, fab and fun in the book world. Love for you to check it out on Aurora Channel 173 on Foxtel. If you don't have Foxtel, never fear, you can catch the episodes on the Facebook links here. I'd be thrilled if you left a nice compliment or review to Fred Mafrica who hosts the show, click here for the Instagram account. Its all about keeping books and local authors in the spotlight, plus you can let him know how fabulous I am. Fun fact: Did you know that Instagram each year puts out a global trend for each country? Australia's trend for Instagram in 2021 is reading and books!! What a win for us all.
If you are looking for another great local author event this month, then look no further. David Wish-Wilson will be at the Don Russell Theatre here in Perth on the 29th talking about his new book Shore Leave. This story is an absolute cracker of a crime mystery thriller. Set in Fremantle back in the late 80s it involves murder, the US navy, brothels, corrupt police and bikie gangs. Be quick to get your free ticket here as you have to register to be there. Trust me, you're gonna love this one. I will be there stocked with the book for you to buy and of course you can get a signed copy.
Before I head out of here there is one more fab thing I want to tell you quietly about. POP UP SHOP IN BALDIVIS. Just sayin!! I told you its all go for MLB. The shop is located at the Stockland Baldivis Shopping Centre opposite Woolworths and Bakers Delight and my beautiful books are there for the next three months along with 18 other small local businesses. Please come on down and support this amazing crowd of businesses, it makes a huge difference not only to our local economy but to the families who are behind the scenes of them. Remember Amazon and the likes don't support your local sporting club or local school, its these small businesses that do.
Don't forget to check the calendar of events to know when MLB will be in your community. Ciao for now. Happy travels Happy Reading!!
